My name is David Kafitz. I am a real estate professional who assists sellers and buyers in the greater Columbia, SC area. I focus on the communities surrounding Lake Murray (Lexington, Irmo, Ballentine, Irmo, Peak, Chapin, Little Mountain, Prosperity and Newberry) and northwest Columbia in Lexington, Richland and Newberry counties.
I work with EXIT Realty New Horizons located in Colubmia, SC. We service the residential, commercial, land/lot property, property management, and investment needs of a wide range of clients. While we focus on the local community first, EXIT Realty New Horizons has serviced client needs all across South Carolina and in other states. About David Kafitz
I am originally from Western North Carolina. My education experience is very broad because of my interests and career choices. I attended the University of South Carolina where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I studied computer science and completed the necessary coursework at the University of North Carolina - Asheville to become a certified elementary teacher in North Carolina. I furthered my knowledge education while working as an educator by completing a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and a Doctor of Education Degree at Western Carolina University.
My professional work experience has included teaching, school administration, school district technology operations and initiatives, school district management and oversight. I have also worked as a consultant to school districts across the country in the realm of digital and online learning given my work experience and passion for education technology. I am bringing this passion for learning and helping others into the real estate industry.
Outside of work, I participate in our community by serving on the Board of Directors for the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Optimist Club of St. Andrews/Irmo. I am also involved in the Central Carolina Realtors Assocition by serving on the 2022 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
I love being outdoors in my spare time engaging in activities ranging from hiking, backpacking, water sports, and travel. I have been blessed with opportunities to venture all across the United States, Europe and the South Pacific to better know and understand the world we live in. I like to think my education, work experience and personal travel experiences have shaped me into the person I am and how I work with others.
